Cardio Tennis has slowly become known as the "third way to play tennis," rather than the traditional singles and doubles matches. Classes are geared towards keeping players in their target heart-rate zone so they can burn the most calories and get the best workout possible in the hour long sessions. Men can burn between 500-100 calories in one class, whereas women can burn between 300 and 500 calories. Rather than being about "playing" tennis, its more about training and the great cardiovascular workout the program provides. Some things to note that make Cardio Tennis different from a traditional tennis class: 1. Participants wear heart rate monitors 2. Music is used 3. We use Low-Compression (orange) balls 4. Session is work-out and not technique focused
